This report presents the findings of Strategy Analytics’ web survey investigating consumer preference for in-vehicle HMI. The majority of respondents across all countries prefer an icon-based HMI interface over a text menu-based HMI interface regardless of gender and age. Compared to using hard buttons or rotary controls, consumers exhibited considerably higher preference in using touchscreen or speech recognition.
