The 1Q2015 Apps Publisher Tracker evaluates the relative strength of the top app developers as measured by how many times their apps appear in the top 100 most popular Free/Paid and Grossing lists for iPhone each week throughout the quarter.
The goal of this tracker is to highlight the growing consolidation of the most popular developers as well as the competition to be the most successful. The intention is to help clients understand which developers are trending up and may be worth partnering with, which are trending down and which hidden gems are poised for success.
This tracker will add all apps that earn .5% of share for a quarter (of the approximately 4,000 apps collected) and will add data historically to those new apps that appear. Those apps that fall below the threshold will still be tracked in the Legacy category unless/until they surpass the threshold.
