The tablet landscape has changed from only Slate form factors to a wide variety of 2-in-1 Tablet products across all price tiers and all OSes and nearly all vendors have aspirations to profit on demand from: 1) Consumers consolidating their computing device ownership; and, 2) Enterprises coming to crossroads over how they will cater to a mobile-first Millennial generation coming into the workforce. Although we expect shipments of 2-in-1 Tablet form factors to grow by an 11% compound average growth rate from 2016 to 2021, traditional Slates will still occupy 75% of shipments in 2021 as branded vendors sell high-quality, low-cost entertainment slates going forward.In this report we forecast shipments by Form Factor (e.g., Slate, 2-in-1 Tablet, Pro Slate) across the period of 2010-2021 as the Tablet vendors attempt to transform the device into a productivity solution. This report covers 6 regions of North America, Western Europe, Asia Pacific, Central & Latin America, Central & Eastern Europe, and Africa & Middle East. This report is published during Q1 2017, following actual Q4 2016 results.
