Strong Growth Due to Influx of Cost-Effective Social, Mobile and Analytics ApplicationsBoston, MA - Nov 4, 2013 - Strategy Analytics estimates that revenue ($M) for Corporate mobile SaaS will grow steadily from a $2.0 billion market in 2012 to a $4.7 billion market by 2017 at a CAGR of 19.0 percent. Businesses are looking to mobile-enable a number of business applications, such as: CRM, HR, business intelligence, email, and multiple industry-specific applications. At the same time, the number of mobile users and devices, from smartphones to tablets is increasing exponentially in enterprises. The need for flexibility, scale, and ease of deployment and use is driving adoption of SaaS to support mobile enterprise strategies, according to the Strategy Analytics Mobile Workforce Strategies (MWS) latest report, "Corporate Mobile Software-as-a-Service Forecast 2011-2017".
According to Gina Luk, Senior Analyst of Mobile Workforce Strategies and author of the report, "Mobile CRM, data growth and the need to manage large amounts of data, such as transactions records and multimedia, are driving the uptake of corporate mobile SaaS."
"The emergence of cloud BI and analytics has prompted this evolution. Large enterprises, for the most part, have still been reluctant to adopt cloud BI and analytics solutions, especially on mobile devices, as these solutions continue to lack the best-of-breed capabilities found in premises-based solutions. However, as enterprises tackle new challenges around capturing, storing, and analyzing "Big Data", they are increasingly going to look at mobile cloud-based solutions," added Andrew Brown, Executive Director of Enterprise Research at Strategy Analytics.
