Wireless Infrastructure RF Amplifier Forecast: 2011 - 2016

Upgrades to HSPA+ and LTE combined with the growth of small cells will lead to a rapid growth in annual shipments of radio systems for cellular infrastructure through 2016, and an increase in shipments of power devices, LNAs and related RF amplifier components for cellular infrastructure. Small cells will push the average power per power transistor down, which will constrain the power device market in revenue terms to a very modest growth rate 3 percent per year.
