About High-altitude Pseudo Satellites (HAPS)

HAPS or high-altitude pseudo satellites are defined as aerial platforms that operate at altitudes ranging between 12 miles and 31 miles, at a specified, nominal, and fixed point relative to the Earth. Mostly, the conceptual design of HAPS envisages the use of unmanned and autonomous platforms, like airships, balloons, or fixed-wing aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
