Baseband Market Share Tracker: 47 Momentum Propels Broadcom to Number Four Position in Q1 2012

Global cellular baseband processor revenue registered a healthy 14 percent year-on-year growth to reach $3.97 billion in Q1 2012. Qualcomm led the cellular baseband market in Q1 2012 with 52 percent revenue share followed by Intel and MediaTek. Broadcom moved up to fourth position on the strength of its 3G baseband momentum.
