This report presents Strategy Analytics’ research into the gaming behaviors of multiple device owners in the US and UK. Smartphones and dedicated gaming consoles were reported as the most-played and preferred gaming devices by US participants, while UK participants exhibited higher daily usage and levels of preference in playing games on tablet devices. With greater portability, smartphones are more often used to play simple and short games such as puzzle and word games. On the other hand, participants reported playing games considerably longer in length on a dedicated gaming console and PC.
