RCS messaging services: go-to-market strategies for 2013

During the past year, several operators have launched Rich Communication Suite (RCS) services under the GSMA’s joyn brand. RCS is the industry’s official collective response to the inroads made by over-the-top (OTT) services from device/OS players and application providers into operators’ core communication services, most notably SMS. This Viewpoint examines the RCS services currently on offer and provides a status update for RCS.
