Description
With baby food consumption of 108.4 kgs per baby born in 2011, Poland has the highest per capita intake in Eastern Europe although because of its relative maturity it has not been growing very fast in the last 6 years. One of the reasons for its high intake is the widespread popularity of baby drinks (29kgs per baby), a sector dominated by juices but characterised by the growing popularity of baby teas. Alima Gerber (Nestle) and Hipp dominate these two sectors respectively.
