CALA Broadband Forecast 2014

Broadband internet service in Central and Latin America continued to expand in 2013 adding a total of 7.5 million subscriptions. The region now has more than 180 million household broadband users and revenue for Broadband service subscriptions has grown to more than $23 billion in 2013. Overall broadband penetration in Central and Latin America in 2013 remained below half of the region’s total households, at 41 percent, and we expect it will only surpass the 50 percent mark in 2016.
