Strategy Analytics surveyed drivers in the United States, Western Europe, and China about their habits in finding and consuming traffic information. While traffic-centric apps on navigation systems and mobile devices are popular sources of information across all regions, radio is still the most popular medium for consuming traffic information. Among navigation system and traffic app users, most are generally satisfied, but see room for improvement in the timeliness of updates and notifications provided. Satisfaction is slightly higher among users of Waze, likely due to the more accurate and timely traffic alerts it provides.
