Background:

Azoxystrobin is a kind of strobilurin fungicide with high efficacy and large application scope. Among all specifications of azoxystrobin, three are common in China: 25% SC, 50%WDG, and technical. After azoxystrobintechnical's patent expired in Feb. 2010, China's azoxystrobin production has experienced rapid development over the past four years.Azoxystrobinis widely used on fruits and vegetables, among which banana and grape are the largest consumption fields. In 2013, azoxystrobin was newly applied on rice and other cereal crops. In the future, there will be more application fields of azoxystrobin in China.

Industrial affairs:
The global consumption of azoxystrobinwas about 4,500 tonnes in 2013, and the production capacity could meet the demand well at present. Europe and America were two large consumers ofazoxystrobin with a share of more than 80% in the world over the past years. With more patents expiring, global market of azoxystrobin will keep booming attributed to its high efficacy, low toxicity and enlargement of application fields.

China’s position:
China has a small position in global market of azoxystrobin with a consumption share of less than 5%. At present, no domestic producer has great influence on the whole azoxystrobin industry. Azoxystrobin in China is mostly produced for export. In 2013, about 3,300 tonnes of azoxystrobin were produced in China and over 90% were exported to South America and South Africa, etc.

Purpose of report:
To clearly describe the market of azoxystrobin in China and give some constructive opinions, CCM has collected lots of information in various ways.In this report, both the supply & demand situations have been described in detail, and other information such as price and technology has also been given.
