Oxygen concentrator is a small medical oxygen-making device that can constantly provide concentrated oxygen. The oxygen concentrator can make the oxygen that accounts for 21 % of the air into oxygen with the concentration of 90 % or more through the machine for the patients whose oxygen concentration in blood is insufficient or hypoxia people. It is applied in medical institutions and homes to provide oxygen therapy and oxygen care.

The production of oxygen concentrator in China starts from the end of 1990s. So far, there are more than 80 oxygen concentrator production enterprises in China, which are mainly located in Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shenyang and other areas. Besides, there are also so some companies in Shandong, Guangdong, Sichuan, and Shanghai producing and selling the concentrator. The oxygen concentrator enterprises can mainly be divided into two types: one is enterprises who produce only one series of products, like Zhejiang Longfei Group Co., Ltd. Shandong Kehua Jian Kang Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Beichen OCA Technology Co., Ltd. and etc. who specialized in the production of oxygen concentrator; one is the enterprises who produce varies but unrelated products, like Jiangsu Yuwell medical equipment & supply Co., Ltd. Among them, Yuwell medical equipment & supply Co., Ltd. is one of the enterprises who enter the sector the earliest. By now, the company's share of the market exceed 30 %, thus becomes the leading company in this industry.

In recent years, as people's living standard improves, people pay more attention to their health. As a new physical enhancement and disease prevention technology, oxygen therapy and oxygen care is being gradually accepted and popularized. The new industry, as a result, is rising and picking up momentum. Especially in recent years, as the promotion in the domestic market advances, the oxygen concentrator has gradually reached a boarder home market from the medical sector like hospitals, sanatoriums, etc. According to the statics, there are more than 1 million home users in the country. Yuwell, Xinsong, Turtles, Longfei, Air, Aoji, Youngleda, Gaoxin Huakuang, Haiyang Zhijia and other well-known brands in the market.

So far, the penetration rate of oxygen concentrator in domestic market in very low. Most families do not have the consciousness of oxygen health care, through oxygen inhalation is an important way to cure the cardiopulmonary dysfunction and oxygen generator is the best way of oxygen inhalation at home. As the aging of population, the improving health awareness and the publicity of oxygen health care, the demand of oxygen concentrator with further be improved, especially the mini oxygen generator, which is becoming popular for its health benefits. In general, the oxygen concentrator market still has huge potential to be explored, in the coming years, the oxygen concentrator industry will keep a rapid growth, and the prospect is promising.
