(1). Chile and South Korea have signed an agreement that Chilean blueberry will have access to the South Korean market from July 15, 2012.

(2). On July 19, 2012, Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, President of Argentina has made the decision that Argentine government will allow 6 million tonnes of wheat from the 2012/13 season for export.

(3). Trade agreement between China and Argentina will have the potential to boost the development of agriculture-related industries such as pesticide industry.

(4). From April 2012 to now, the rainy weather affects the harvest of sugarcane in South-Central Brazil and the production of sugarcane, cane sugar and bioethanol is lower than that in the same period of 2011/12.

(5). Driven by strong demand for its fruits, Chile will embrace a rosy prospect of its crop protection market, as it has concluded more and more agricultural trade agreements with other countries.

(6). Crops planting in South America is increasingly dependent on the use of agrochemicals.

(7). Rainfall in Venezuela intensifies its domestic demand for urea and also highlights the ongoing problem of urea in Venezuela.

(8). Brazilian corn harvest will get a good result at the second harvest in 2012 and it will increase the export volume of corn.

(9). In June, the ANVISA's CTA decides to extend the deadline for pesticide technical review, but the specific date has not been announced yet.

(10). The official of Paraguay released a clarification statement that Monsanto has not completed the registration of BT cotton Bollgard I (MON531).

(11). On June 15, 2012, Monsanto announced its investment plan of over USD355 million in Argentina, including the construction of its second corn seed production center.

(12). Syngenta has been approved to conduct the trial planting of GM sugarcane in Brazil and the trials may begin in Oct. 2012.

(13). Bolivia plans to promote the quinoa planting to meet the increasing demand for quinoa around the world.

(14). Argentine barley planting will have a great increase in the future.
