Use of 47s While Driving Remains High

This report presents the results of a web survey conducted in the US, Western Europe, and China, investigating use of mobile phone while driving. With the widespread proliferation of smartphone devices, the usage of these devices for voice calls, text messaging, and apps while driving remains high. However, the majority of respondents do not utilize any sort of hands-free device. Navigation and Music applications are the most used smartphone applications while driving. Compared to drivers in the US and Western Europe, more smartphone owners in China use information and communication related applications while driving.
