USA 47 Vendor & OS Shipments by Operator: Q1 2012

Smartphone shipments in the United States grew a sluggish +12% annually in Q1 2012. Apple was the star performer, as continued strong demand for the iPhone 4S helped it capture the number one spot overall, as well as the top vendor ranking at two of the country's largest operators. Android partners, like Samsung, Motorola, and LG, combined to keep the Google platform as the leading OS. Meanwhile, Microsoft is on the verge of overtaking Blackberry at one of the big four carriers for the first time, due to Nokia's growth.
