The smartphone shipment volume jumped 33% YoY this quarter, thanks to the extended availability of Apple iPhone, enriched Android portfolios from international brands and local manufactures, as well as the quick uptake of LTE smartphones. Fujitsu, Apple, and Sharp ranked the top 3 smartphone vendor this quarer in Japan.
