ngoing macroeconomic challenges kept the overall handset market in check, as worldwide shipments grew just 1% annually to 362 million units during Q2 2012. As always, individual handset vendors displayed a wide range of performance, spanning from Apple’s 28% annual growth to LG’s 47% year-on-year shrinkage. During the quarter, Samsung further solidified its first-place lead by shipping 93 million handsets worldwide.
