VENDOR SHARE: North America Handset Vendor Marketshare: Q2 2012

Mobile phone shipments in North America declined a huge 18% year-on-year during the second quarter of 2012. This was the steepest decline since our records began. Smartphones and feature phones shrank. Smartphone specialist Apple and Chinese vendor ZTE led the market in shipment growth, while the majority of other vendors experienced sharp annual falls in volume. Nokia was one bright spot, as its LTE marketshare surged to a record high. This report contains quarterly handset shipments and marketshare by 2G / 3G / 4G technologies for the top 17 vendors in the USA and Canada from 2004 to Q2 2012.
