GaAs Epitaxial Substrates 2011-2016

Despite slowing device growth, the SI GaAs epitaxial substrate market registered a 2.5% increase in production in 2011. We expect an uncertain economy and declining handset growth rates will limit the pace of growth of GaAs epitaxial substrate production in the future. While we anticipate demand for semi-insulating GaAs epitaxial substrates will increase modestly, this demand will not offset price erosion. This will result in a drop in total SI GaAs epitaxial revenue from an estimated $601 million in 2011 to just under $544 million in 2016.
