Global Handset Vendor Marketshare by Country: Americas: Q2 2012

Handset shipments fell sharply across the major countries of North and South America during the second quarter of 2012. Economic uncertainty and postpaid smartphone maturation were among the causes of the declines. Samsung retained the top spot in Brazil, while Nokia continued to grow in Mexico. HTC and RIM slid heavily in the US. This report tracks quarterly handset shipments and marketshare for multiple vendors in 4 major countries of North and South America from Q1 2009 to Q2 2012. They are Brazil, Canada, Mexico and USA.
