The EMEA handset market delivered a mixed performance in Q2 2012, with some countries rising and others falling. Russia strengthened because of smartphone growth, while Italy experienced a slowdown due to economic volatility. Samsung rose to record highs in France and Germany, while HTC and RIM lost ground in most territories like South Africa.
