Survey of Trioctyl Trimellitate (TOTM) in China

With the increasing demand from the downstream industries of TOTM, China's TOTM industry has experienced a stable development in recent years. Up to H1 2012, TOTM capacity has increased to 150,000 t/a, and the output keeps rising with a CAGR of 12.25% from 2009 to 2011.



Although China's TOTM industry has enjoyed a growth in recent years, there are some disadvantages for China's TOTM industry at the same time. As of June 2012, TOTM producers in China are not too many, and the production scale of them is usually small. Currently, the application of TOTM in China is still not wide. According to the Twelve-Five-Year Plan, the plastic products industry is clearly confirmed as the main industry development direction of the light industry during the "Twelve Five-Year", and the average annual growth rate of plastic products will increase by 12%.
