Compound Semiconductor Industry Review July - September 2012: Optoelectronics, Materials & Equipment

This entire market segment is still experiencing turmoil as a flattening of the LED market has rippled through to the equipment and material suppliers. The photovoltaic and solar segments continue to experience choppy performance, as some suppliers are seeing growth while others are closing or reorganizing their business. The optical components industry continues to push ahead with product development aimed at higher capacity in response to increasing bandwidth demands.
