Global handset shipments remained flat annually during the fourth quarter of 2012. Developed markets slowed, while emerging markets relatively raced ahead, with Asia once more the world's fastest-growing region. Apple, Lenovo and Samsung registered the highest global growth, ending the year on a high note.
