In preparation for this month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this ConsumerMetrix Bulletin presents key consumer survey and demographic data relating to owners of tablets across the US and four major European markets. Not surprisingly Apple’s iPad dominates the user base as a whole as the single most prominent tablet brand, but Apple does not have a majority of usage in lower income groups. We find that more than a third of upper income householders are now using a tablet at least weekly. Tablet brand loyalty varies considerably with Apple at the high end while Archos has much lower repeat purchase intention. This Bulletin presents findings from a survey of more than 6500 respondents across the US, France, Germany, Italy and the UK.
