Wire Journal International is a monthly magazine serving the wire manufacturing industry. It is written and edited for management, technical, production, and marketing executives engaged in the manufacture of ferrous, nonferrous, electrical wire, and fiber optic cable and in fabricating plants that use wire, bar, strip, and metal tube to produce finished wire products. Coverage encompasses management, marketing and manufacturing methods, and technical developments related to drawing, extruding, rolling, forming, and fabricating of wire and wire products. It also focuses on trends, events, personnel, products, and news relevant to the wire industry. The Wire Association International (WAI), Inc., founded in 1930, is a worldwide technical society for wire and cable industry professionals that is governed by volunteers from around the world. Based in Guilford, Connecticut, USA, WAI promotes, collects, and disseminates technical, manufacturing, and general business information to the ferrous, nonferrous, electrical, fiber optic, and fastener segments of the wire and cable industry.
